Project Details

The Project Settlement and Digitization of Land Record in Merged Districts has mainly two objectives 1. complete Settlement operations using GIS based technology. 2. Provide computerized transactional services to Landowners. 3. The land settlement project is now in an advanced stage of measurement in several Tehsils and Sub-divisions, and good progress has been made toward its main goals. However, in some areas, the project is facing resistance from local communities. This is mostly because people are not fully aware of the benefits that land settlement can bring to them. To speed up the project and manage settlement activities more effectively across the merged districts, it is important to raise awareness and educate the local people. They need to understand how land settlement can help improve ownership rights, reduce disputes, and support development. In this effort, the role of young professionals and internees is very important. Their energy, fresh ideas, and ability to connect with communities can help build trust and encourage cooperation. Therefore, it is expected that the involvement of young people—especially through internship programs—will help achieve the project’s goals more effectively.
