Description
• To be responsible for making long and short-term plans for the project activities. • To manage and develop Plans for cities, town, villages and the countryside. • To balance the conflicting demands of housing, industrial development, agriculture, recreation, transport and the environment in order to allow appropriate development to take place within towns and cities. • To check the reports (study/Land use Plan/Survey) and incorporate the same in land use plans accordingly. • To lead the Assistant Spatial Planners in the task assigned and check the reports (study/Land use Plan/Survey) • Any other relevant job assigned by the Management of the Project.
Project Details
The Provincial Land Use Plan is envisaged as a policy document for an integrated, coordinated and systematic planning and even spread of development activities, employments to the rural and sub-urban population close to home and reduce pressure on mega cities. It aims at establishing hierarchy of settlements and developments of Satellite, Intermediate, Secondary and Industrial Towns as focal points of future to cater the rural areas and small towns. Meanwhile, the Plan will aim at optimizing exploitation of human and physical resources, maximizing provincial income, increase in overall activity and balanced distribution of infrastructure and services and increased per capita Income. It will also provide guidance to the nation building departments agencies including District Governments/TMAs for undertaking integrated and coherent development programs through holistic planning approach.

Consultancy services contract awarded to Urban Sector Planning & Management Unit, Punjab for Preperation of District Land Use Plans of 22 Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
